Violet Crumble Choc Waffles

Step 1
Place Violet Crumble Cubes into a food processor and blitz into a crumb.
Set aside. -
Step 2
Preheat a waffle iron to a medium heat.

Sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into a medium bowl.
Add the sugar and stir to combine. -
Step 4
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil and egg yolks.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until the batter is smooth.

In a clean, dry bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold one-third of the egg whites into the batter to lighten it.
Add the remaining egg whites along with the Violet Crumble crumbs, and fold gently until just combined. -
Step 7
Lightly grease the waffle iron if needed. Pour batter into the waffle iron and close the lid.
Cook for about 2–3 minutes, or until the waffles are cooked through and slightly crisp.
Repeat with the remaining batter. -
Step 8
Transfer waffles to a serving platter. Serve with chocolate sauce, mixed berries, edible flowers (optional), and extra chopped Violet Crumble.
